Order in the Court!

Phoenix using Order in the Court! in Ultimate.
User Phoenix Wright
Universe Ace Attorney

Order in the Court! (法廷での命令, lit. Order in Court) is Phoenix Wright's Up special move.

Overview

Phoenix turns around in shock as an imposing, silhouetted figure of the Judge appears behind Phoenix, shouting either "Order in the court!" or "Objection overruled!". At the same time, a large gavel swings down on top of Phoenix, launching him into the air. If Phoenix is currently holding any bad evidence when this move is used, it will be removed from his Court Record, at the cost of taking 4% per piece of bad evidence held.

In Turnabout Mode, this move launches Phoenix much higher than usual, and he is not put into special fall afterwards.

Instructional quote

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Move List Tired of his antics, the judge slams his gavel down onto Phoenix. Removes bad evidence from the Court Record, at the cost of Phoenix taking some damage.

Origin

Phoenix's nightmare from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All.

This move is primarily based on a nightmare Phoenix has at the beginning of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All, in which he finds himself standing on a cliffside, surrounded by darkness. Suddenly, a large silhouetted version of the judge with red eyes appears, and scolds Phoenix for unmentioned wrongdoings, before declaring he's no longer worthy to be a defense attorney. The nightmare judge slams his gavel onto Phoenix, at which point he wakes up from the nightmare. This move could also be seen as a reference to the responsibility of the judge in court as a whole, and how most of the time, the judge seems to be working against Phoenix and his case.
