Hold it! / Objection!

Phoenix using Hold it! / Objection! in Ultimate.
User Phoenix Wright
Universe Ace Attorney

Hold it! / Objection! (待った! / 異議あり!, lit. Wait! / There is an objection!) is Phoenix Wright's neutral special move.

Overview

Phoenix moves his hand forward, shouting "Hold it!" as a giant red and white speech bubble appears in front of him. If the player has three pieces of good evidence from using Investigate, Phoenix will instead point forward and shout "Objection!". If the Objection speech bubble makes contact with an enemy, Phoenix transitions into Turnabout Mode, placing his hands on his hips confidently and shouting "I've got all I need!"

Objection! can also reflect projectiles if they make contact with the speech bubble.

The "Objection!" speech bubble, as seen in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice.

"Objection!" and "Hold it!" are two of the original speech bubbles from the Ace Attorney series. "Hold it!" is used when pressing a witness's testimony for further details, and "Objection!" is used in a variety of contexts, mostly to either present evidence that contradicts a witness's testimony, or to interject against someone's most recent statement. All prosecutors and defense attorneys have an "Objection!" voice line, but "Hold it!" is typically only voiced when used by playable characters. Other characters have used both speech bubbles, but without any voice lines.
