Pumpkin Hill (パンプキンヒル, Pumpkin Hill) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is based on the level of the same name from Sonic Adventure 2.
Stage overview
The stage takes place in a mountainous region, with a twilight sky in the background. The main platform of the stage is taken from Church Mountain, with the platform extending all the way to the bottom blastzone. A single soft platform hovers above the stage, slowly moving back and forth as the fight goes on. In the background of the main platform is a gravestone, a hint monitor, a grey, decaying tree with three ominous faces on it, and a large white and purple pillar.
In addition, Pumpkin Mountain and Ghost Train Mountain can be seen in the distance, and several large rock formations that end in glowing pumpkin faces can be seen dotted around the landscape. Three pieces of the Master Emerald are scattered through the stage's background. One hovers inside the opening of the pillar on the main stage's background, one is placed on top of a glowing pumpkin rock to the right of the stage's main platform, and the third is located on Ghost Train Mountain to the far left of the stage's background.
Origin

Pumpkin Hill is the second treasure hunting stage in Sonic Adventure 2, after Wild Canyon. While Sonic is rushing to save Tails and Amy from the exploding Prison Island, Knuckles finds himself here on his own journey to recover the lost pieces of the Master Emerald after it was shattered during an altercation with Rouge and Dr. Eggman. It is here that Knuckles gains the ability to dig through soft terrain with the help of the Shovel Claw.
