Zero Space (零空間, Null Space) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from the Mega Man series. It is based on the area of the same name from Mega Man X5, and its incarnation from Mega Man X DiVE.

Stage overview

The stage takes place in a futuristic, holographic enclosed area, with walls covering the entire length of the stage on both sides. The entire stage is essentially enclosed into a large box, with no way of accessing the side or bottom blastzones. As such, the only method of KOing opponents on this stage is by sending them through the top blastzone. Though there is a small corridor to the left sectioned off by a boss door, there is no way of opening the door and accessing said corridor.

Ω form and Battlefield form

The Ω form and Battlefield form take place in the same holographic area as the main stage, with the main platform being made of the same material as the walls from the original form. The three soft platforms in the Battlefield form are white, with technological designs slightly visible.

Origin

Zero Space Stage 3: Awakening from Mega Man X5.

Zero Space is an area in Mega Man X5 created via a spatial anomaly from the space colony Eurasia crashing into Earth (or being destroyed, depending on the ending). Zero decides to investigate the area after learning of the Zero Virus being created, and X follows him out of concern for Zero's well being. While inside, X and Zero spark a disagreement and end up fighting each other, with X ultimately coming out victorious. Zero dies after Sigma tries to intervene in the fight, and when X is rescued from Zero Space shortly afterwards, the area disappears.
