Spring Jump is Knuckles' Up special move.
Overview
Knuckles creates a yellow spring underneath him, sending him directly upwards. This move does not send as high as Sonic's equivalent move, a reference to how yellow springs are weaker than red springs in Sonic games.
If Knuckles uses this move on the ground, the spring remains in place, allowing him or anyone else in the current match to bounce off of it again until it disappears. If Knuckles uses this move in the air, the spring tumbles straight downward after spawning, during which time it can hit opponents.
Instructional quote
| Summon a spring to launch yourself upwards. It doesn't go very high, though, so be careful. |
