Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is the first representative from the X-Men franchise.

Liam O'Brien, who voiced Nightcrawler in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, reprises his role as the character, via recycled voice clips from Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

Nightcrawler is a mutant hailing from Marvel Comics. His moveset in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is created by the modder known as Spirit.

Moveset

• Nightcrawler plays as an agile hit-and-run trickster with a specialty in battlefield control via his teleporting. He has a variety of moves that can displace him and his opponents, making him a very tricky opponent to fight against.
• Nightcrawler has a omnidirectional teleport instead of a double jump, giving him more control over his aerial positions than most fighters.

Forward tilt		Executioner Strike	???%	Steps forward into a cross-slash.

Dash attack		Bamf Dash	???%	Flips into a bamf cloud and comes out with a cross slash.
Forward smash		Bamf Strike	???%	Nightcrawler strikes forward twice, teleporting with each strike. This move takes timing and precision to unalive but otherwise is useful for getting away.
Up smash		Cross Slash	???%	Nightcrawler squats down, ready's both blades and swipes them above his head in a quick strike
Down smash		Tail Spin	???%	Takes his sword in his tail and spins around, knocking back any who dare to get close to him.
Neutral aerial		Spinning Fuzzball	???%	Spins in a circle twice with both blades spinning with him hitting everyone around him.
Forward aerial		Bamf Slash	???%	Teleports forward and does a cross slash. Used to close the distance when fighting in the air.
Back aerial		Tail Slash	???%	Takes a Sword in his Tail and slashes behind him.
Up aerial		Flip Swipe	???%	Swipes his sword above his head and flips with it.
Down aerial		Counter Spike	???%	Teleports upwards and strikes a taaunting pose before flipping and spiking the target. This move is designed to teleport Nightcrawler above anyone attempting to spike him, and punishing them.
Grab		Piercing Skewer	—	Nightcrawler stabs his target with his left cutlass, holding them on the blade of his sword.
Pummel		Hilt Attack	1%	Uses the hilt of his right sword to smack the opponent.
Forward throw		Take That!	???%	Teleports with his opponent forwards and kicks them off his sword.
Back throw		Through Brimstone and Back	???%	Nightcrawler stabs the opponent with both swords and pulls them into the Brimstone Dimension, teleporting elsewhere on the map before flinging them off his blades.
Up throw		Bamf Assault	???%	Nightcrawler kicks the opponent up then bamf's 3 times around them, knocking them around before launching them up with a mighty uppercut.
Down throw		Double Stab Bamf	???%	Nightcrawler bamf's above his opponent and strikes down with both swords.

Neutral special		Blade Boomerang	???%	Nightcrawler Throws his sword forwards and if it connects with an opponent he teleports to his sword to follow up. If it hits nobody it returns to his hand.
Side special		You're Coming With Me	N/A	Nightcrawler leaps forwards towards an opponent and grabs hold of them. Once held he then will teleport you with him in any direction of his choosing and drops you. He can only use this once per airtime and the enemy can act out of it as soon as he releases them.
Up special		Now You Don't	N/A	Nightcrawler instantly teleports in any direction he chooses. He can act out of this but cannot use this more than once per air time.
Down special		Bamf!	N/A	Upon first input, Nightcrawler commits his current location to memory, marking it in his mind for future use. If Nightcrawler uses his down-special after he has marked a location, he will immediately teleport to that location. Only one spot can be marked at a time and teleporting removes the marker.
Final Smash		Bamf Frenzy	???%	Nightcrawler teleports all over the screen, attacking players and racking up damage before picking one target, teleporting in front of them and doing a finishing blow
